Spiritual successor to the original 356 Speedster with lightweight narrow bodywork and deletion of many options to save additional weight
Unique opportunity to acquire an extremely rare lightweight “Narrow Body” 1989 Speedster! Of the 2103 Speedsters produced in 1989 to commemorate the end of the G-Series—the last 911 to be handbuilt at the original Porsche factory—only 171 were narrow bodied cars as the majority were built with the more common flared, Turbo-look bodywork. These select few special order Speedsters were never available in North America and offer a very pure driving experience as they weigh significantly less than their wide-bodied siblings thanks to lighter narrow bodywork and the deletion of standard items such as front fog lights and rear locking parcel shelf (in favour of and RS style carpeted rear seat area to save weight over the regular Speedster).
This stunning, very special Porsche has covered only 59,000 km from new, comes complete with all original books, paperwork and factory toolkit/air compressor, and has just been fully inspected & serviced by Porsche. It is the only known Narrow Body 1989 Speedster in North America (we have sold only one other in our 19 years in business which went to a collector in Austria) and represents an amazing opportunity for the discerning collector.
